This app automates the process of exporting profile view data and profile data to DXF format for use with Rocscience's SLIDE Software.

Running the command promopts for a keyword selection consisting of three modes and an options dialog (All/Selection/Boundary/Options).

All Mode:

Running the all mode prompts for selecting the profile view for exporting. By default this mode iterates through all surface profiles drawn in the profile view. Each profile is traced with a polyline, and closes each end by tracing around the datum line of the profile view. As needed by SLIDE software, the closed polyline is then transposed to an X,Y coordinate that corresponds to the profile view station and elevation. Each process profile is also added to an overall boundary closed polyline that makes up the extents boundary of the profiles, as required by SLIDE software. Finally, each polyline is WBLOCKed and DXFed to the location selected and is ready for import into SLIDE software. By default the app only saves the DXF files to the selected location.

Selection Mode:

Running the selection mode prompts for selecting the profile view for exporting. By default this mode opens a dialog box containing a list of surface profile names in the selected profile view that are drawn in the profile view - this allows for selection of only the profiles desired for exporting. This processes each selected profile the same way as the All mode, EXCEPT it does not create an outer boundary.

Boundary Mode:

Running the boundary mode prompts for selecting the profile view for exporting. By default this mode opens a dialog box containing a list of surface profile names in the selected profile view that are drawn in the profile view - this allows for selection of only the profiles desired for creating the external boundary polyline.

Options Menu:

The options menu allows for cycling through all surface profiles in a profile view instead of just the ones that are drawn in view. It also allows for a quick preview mode when creating each DXF file and provides the ability to save the WBLOCKed drawing files.

The app also places each polyline on a layer called DXF_ProfileName. Exported files are all named based on the profile's name, except the boundary, which is named EXTERNAL BOUNDARY. Exported DXF files can then be used for importing into SLIDE software for processing slope stability analysis.
